Positive response to 2013 customer conference
We were delighted to host our annual customer conference last Thursday and were really pleased with how it went.
As our CEO John Cuppello said in his opening address, the event provides a great opportunity for us to engage with the people who use our products. This interaction is vital if we are to continue to strive to exceed the requirements of the marketplace.
Some independent research we have recently published in conjunction with Property Week has highlighted how people working in the industry are not getting as much as they could be from their property and facilities management software. We see events such as this as vital in helping these professionals improve the potential of our products and help them overcome any difficulties they experience using them. We felt separate Aspasia, Qube, Horizon and Planet demonstrations with staff who work on them day-in day-out and our iZone (one desk of which is pictured below) – where our product experts were on hand to speak to delegates one-on-one throughout the day – were a very effective way of doing this.
We were also very happy to welcome well-respected experts from the technology, property and facilities industries as guest speakers. We feel these talks provide a level of analysis and insight that adds an extra depth of detail to the day.
It was very pleasing that reaction to this year’s event has been so positive.
We generated a Twitter hashtag (#qubeconf) for the conference and projected all relevant tweets in the main break-out area. While this created a great buzz around the event, it also highlighted some really positive feedback. Here’s a selection of tweets from the day:

Online shopping is an ever-growing threat to physical real estates in the high street. As a consequence, retail investors face the new challenge of encouraging customers to get out of the house and visit their venues rather than spending their money online.
We all know employee engagement is good for business. Research by the Hay Group found that high levels of engagement can boost revenue growth by up to two and a half times. But how can companies make sure their employees are happy?
