Software as a Service (ASP)
Software as a Service (SaaS) is an alternative delivery model whereby customers pay for software licences through a rental arrangement rather than through ownership. The software is hosted at our secure data centre and is accessed by the customer over the Internet.
Within a SaaS delivery model, the software availability becomes the responsibility of Qube Global Software and we are therefore responsible for the hardware support, software maintenance, performance monitoring, security, user scalability, backups and disaster recovery processes.
With Qube Global Software taking responsibility for these ‘overhead’ type
activities, the customer can shift their IT resources away from the deployment and
support of applications on their own servers to instead managing the relationship
and services the application provides. This switch to service provision rather than
technology support allows client IT resources to focus more on high value activities
that are in alignment with business goals and therefore add more to the bottom
line.
