FM specialists urged to share achievements | 20 April 2012
Worldwide facilities management professionals have been encouraged to share their biggest professional achievements at the upcoming World FM Day.
That’s according to a report from Todaysfacilitymanager.com, which confirmed that in line with this year’s theme – ‘Celebrating Success’ – those taking part in the global event have been told not to be shy when it comes to their big success.
In fact, the entire day – set to take place on June 28th – celebrates the goals achieved by all involved in the industry. Be it developers of facilities management software or the hard-working individuals that manage buildings every single day, they should be very vocal about their successes over the past 12 months.
World FM Day will be hosted by Global FM and the IFMA, otherwise known as the International Facility Management Association. Associated events will take place across six continents; including workshops, seminars and special luncheons. Throughout, the event will be represented on social media in order to connect the worldwide FM enthusiasts taking part.
Those involved can follow the day’s happenings by using the hashtag ‘#worldfmday’ on Twitter, or by doing a simple search for ‘World FM Day’ on Facebook. Ifma.org has even set up a project called ‘A Day in the Life of FM’, which will see all involved in World FM Day able to pin on a virtual map their facility and what’s happening at it.
