IFMA World Workplace celebrates 35th year | October 10, 2015

Proudly celebrating its’ 35th year, the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) hosted their annual World Workplace in Denver, Colorado on October 5 through 7.   Qube Global Software, represented by Matthew Sheldrick and Sharon Miller Trackman, featured the company’s newest technology solutions for resource scheduling and space management.

‘Collaborate to Innovate’ was this year’s theme, drawing the top FM professionals from over 2,000 companies across the globe. Subject matter focused its efforts on exploring mutually beneficial solutions directly related to current challenges within the industry.   Attendees joined together, discovering ways to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve facility utilization.

IFMA members were able to see innovation in action when touring several trend setting local sites.  IKEA Centennial is the second largest IKEA store in the US and the first IKEA store to incorporate a geothermal heating and cooling system.  Also featured was the Colorado Convention Center, a recognized leader in sustainable building practices.

Conversations commonly heard throughout the conference touched on the challenges of strategic space planning as it relates to occupancy.  Qube Global Software shared their cost-efficient solutions with facility managers, space planners, and C-Suite executives, highlighting ways to:  increase efficiency; provide access to vital information; and provide visualizations for improved decision making.

“We are already making plans for the 2016 conference in San Diego,” stated Sharon.  “As the roles and needs of the Facility Manager keep changing, we are determined to keep our ‘tool kit’ of solutions ready while staying ahead of the curve.”

Now part of Qube Global Software’s overall initiative to participate in community service projects, Sharon collected wrapped candy from more than 100 exhibitors during the final 30 minutes of the exhibition.  In turn, more than 40 pounds of candy was delivered to The Denver Rescue Mission.  “We hope we made even a small dent in the growing problem of homelessness, and I genuinely thank those other exhibitors that contributed to this cause.”
