Qube Global Software continues to benefit from national IAMC sponsorship | August 25, 2015
On a hot steamy day in August, Sharon Miller Trackman entered the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Houston TX for a once in a life time tour of the original ‘Mission Control’ center.
IAMC Houston hosted nearly 40 guests at NASA Parkway at their first local program on August 12th. A powerful morning session focused on energy consumption issues facing the industrial industry. A second presentation gave insights into issues and accomplishments of the Houston Port Authority and the Houston Airport System. After a casual networking lunch, guests were escorted by an expert docent to NASA Mission Control and the International Space Station Mission Control for a behind the scenes tour. They were then welcomed into the Vehicle Mock-Up Facility (also known as Building 9). Here is where NASA makes the impossible happen, and guests were able to watch engineers, scientists and astronauts shape the future of space and further exploration.
“This is where science, technology, engineering and math come together,” stated Miller Trackman, Director of Marketing for the Americas. “Being able to meet with IAMC members and prospective members in a more intimate setting has been invaluable for our company…and seeing the real Mission Control? That will remain a big WOW in my book of cool places to see!”
The 2016 North American CoreNet Global Summit took place at the Philadelphia Convention Center from October 16 through 19.
