Qube Global Software supports Greater Philadelphia Cares | Oct 16 2010
Members of the US Qube Global Software organized a team of 20 volunteers to participate in the 17th annual Greater Philadelphia Cares Day on October 16, 2010. Since its inception, the non-profit organization Greater Philadelphia Cares hosts the community service day to benefit thousands of children through its beautification programs in local schools. Qube’s team was assigned to the James Lowell Elementary School; tasks of the day included fresh coats of paint in bathrooms and hallways, sanitization of all of cafeteria and work tables, water fountains and storage facilities. Additional participants at the school included students and their parents, teachers, attorneys, college graduates, and local do gooder’s from the surrounding Greater Philadelphia area.
“It is truly amazing how one day of community service can make such a difference for thousands of children in such a short time, and we all walked away a better person for it” noted Sharon G. Miller, US Marketing Manager. Qube Global Software first became involved with the not for profit organization earlier in the year when they worked at a community food bank packaging boxes for those less fortunate, and spent a day revitalizing a local playground in Northern Philadelphia.
