World Forum for Foreign Direct Investment | June 18, 2014

As part of its strategy for an increased global presence, Qube Global Software was a first time sponsor of the 11th World Forum for Foreign Direct Investment event. This year, the Forum was held for the first time in the United States at the prestigious Union League Club of Philadelphia.

The Forum has previously been hosted in such renowned destination locations as Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Valencia, Bolognia, and Shanghai. The 2014 conference continued to build on the concept of bringing together strategic and logistic decision-makers for key corporations to engage in high-level panel discussions, presentations, debates, bi-lateral meetings, and unique networking opportunities.

Networking opportunities in Philadelphia included: exclusive tours of the region’s historical sites; a sponsored ‘Rocky Balboa’ fun run from City Hall to the Art Museum and back; business relationship building and networking at the National Constitution Center; and an array of educational sessions.

Alex Conquest, Implementation Specialist for Qube Global Software, had the opportunity to engage in high level discussions with investment promotion professionals, real estate executives and developers, site selectors, FDI consultants and decision makers. Renowned participants from global businesses included but were not limited to: American Express, GlaxoSmithKline, Intel, Lockheed Martin Corporation, PepsiCo, RBS Citizens Bank, UPS and Whirlpool.

“World Forum offered an incredible and intimate setting for meeting with top level executives. Not only were we able to speak with business professionals from global corporations about their real estate technology requirements and issues, but we were afforded the opportunity to promote our solutions,” Conquest stated.

The 2015 World Forum is set to be held in Sharjah, UAE, with plans to return to San Diego, CA in 2016.
