Three Qube Global Software employees are to participate in the Great North Run – the “biggest and best” half marathon in the world – to raise money for their chosen charities.
On 11 September 2016, HR Director Jacqui Adams, HR Administrator Sarah Eite and Account Executive Darren Gould will be participating in the Great North Run to raise money for charities that are close to their hearts: Alzheimer’s Society, Breast Cancer Care and Farplace Animal Rescue.
The 13.1 mile Great North Run will start in Newcastle upon Tyne, with thousands of people cheering the runners on as they embark on the half marathon, whilst passing various iconic sights such as the Tyne Bridge.
The runners will travel through Jesmond, Haymarket, Monument as well as Central Station, before passing the Newcastle side of the Tyne Bridge from Newcastle to Gateshead. On the final stretch of the run through South Shields, the runners will be greeted by the sea where their journey will soon come to an end.
Sarah Eite said: “With the Red Arrows passing overhead and plenty of members of the public out on the streets cheering us on, we’re sure it’ll be a fun and exciting day out!”
If you would like to make a donation to the team’s chosen charities, you can visit their fundraising page here. Good luck to the team on their training and the big day.
