Qube team outlines key improvements for 2014 | 5 December 2013

Our Qube team gave an overview of key developments in the solution over the past year at the recent Customer Conference and revealed some extremely exciting updates for the future.

The improvements form part of our commitment to deliver a new release of Qube each year. Each of these updates are included as part of the annual software maintenance and packed full of new and additional functionality.

Qube 2014 to offer improved usability
At the conference, the team outlined some of the highlights of the next version, Qube 2014, which will be available early next year. With usability continuing our primary focus, it incorporates a number of features to improve customers’ experience, from the introduction of a ‘remember settings’ toolbar option, simplifying report screens to removing unwanted features, customising and creating instant shortcut icons displayed on the front page and providing an ‘auto filter’ option on all Qube grids.

Site Survey app soon to be available
Due to extensive investment in our portal and apps teams, users will also have the option to adopt our Site Survey app on IOS and Android platforms. This will allow their staff to complete the survey through their mobile device. The app is fully integrated with Qube and will result in a less manual and more efficient process that should also improve accuracy.

Special interest groups lead to improvements
We continue to run special interest groups (open forums we host with our customers) and these have led to a number of improvements. Examples of this include enhancements to the Tenant Portal expected in the Qube 2014 release and planned Maintenance Management changes relating to contract, planned later next year.

Growth in development team
The past 18 months year has also seen the development team increase by 11 people due to recruitment and redeployment of resources. This includes a group of five school/university leavers also recently joined as part of our Next Generation scheme, with this a conscious effort to employ talented young professionals from our local communities.

Improved communication
During 2013, we have also launched our customer zone, an online repository of Qube-related information and started producing two periodicals: qubedirect (a monthly e-newsletter highlighting forthcoming webinars and courses, hints and tips and company news) and Qube Plus (a quarterly electronic publication offering latest news about the Qube application, outlining new features that are being developed and advice on best practice for using the existing software).
