The Thomas Deacon Academy in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire is an ultra-modern school specialising in Maths and Science.
The state of the art facility, designed by leading architects Foster and Partners, was completed in 2007 and currently houses around 2,200 pupils. The Academy recently brought their maintenance team in-house and required an FM software solution that was high quality, easy to use and affordable. On top of this, they needed the system to be implemented within a relatively short timeframe and around their own busy schedules and found the Planet software suited their needs.
Karen King, Facilities Manager for The Thomas Deacon Academy, commented:
“Planet contains all the functionality we need to manage our reactive and planned maintenance, is easy to use and cost effective in comparison to the other solutions we looked at. We were also impressed by their team’s professionalism and flexibility which was crucial for us”
The Planet implementation project (including installing the software, training staff and transferring existing data into the system) was started on 13th June and went live just 3 weeks later on July 4th, meeting the Academy’s target date. www.thomasdeaconacademy.co.uk
