The 2014 IAMC (Industrial Asset Management Council) Fall Forum served as a huge milestone for IAMC’s global expansion initiative. Matthew Sheldrick, VP of Business Development, and Director of Marketing Sharon Miller Trackman, attended in support of the associations goal of international expansion.
Nearly 400 corporate real estate professionals met in Quebec City as IAMC crossed borders into Canada. From September 13 through 17, the Hilton Quebec City served as host hotel, with educational sessions in the adjacent convention center. The organization has already supported global initiatives in Asia, Europe, the United Kingdom and Latin America.
The forum’s theme focused on North America’s competitive advantage in manufacturing. Keynote speakers, research roundtable discussions, industry group meetings and workshops set the foundation for lively discussions from varying points of view. Networking events took place at such prestigious venues as (list 3). Sunday afternoon featured an Old City walking tour that explored the incredible architecture and places of historical significance. of Old Quebec City. In addition there was a 90-minute riverboat cruise of the St. Lawrence River.
The conference was kicked off by Lou Dobbs, Fox Business News’ Host. Introduced by Roger Nesti, IAMC’s Chair and Director of International Real Estate for Kellogg Company, financial issues and how these relate to the need for change within the manufacturing industry were discussed.
